It is this evolution that drives the telecommunications industry to follow and meet these expectations for digital service and experience.
“To achieve this goal, telecommunications operators must become agile, open and cloud-centric to design offers and deliver their services digitally. If you look at the nature of services, consumption patterns and media proliferation, there is a compelling need to build scalable networks that are also cost effective. In my opinion, these are the main drivers and forces for transformation and digitization,” adds Rajappa.
Helping VodafoneZiggo digitally transform its operations
As a seasoned technologist and execution strategist, Rajappa has worked in product design, as well as defining and leading technologies, platforms and service strategies in the areas of SDN, NFV, of 5G Edge and IoT with a focus on CSPs, automotive and large enterprises.
In his role at TATA ELXSI, Rajappa has been an integral leader in the company’s digital transformation partnership with VodafoneZiggo, as he explains: “I consider VodafoneZiggo to be the pioneer in quickly understanding and adapting to innovative needs. of its customers”.
The company focuses on understanding the B2B, B2C and wholesale market segments to offer tailored design services and service delivery platforms. TATA ELXSI began its partnership with VodafoneZiggo five years ago, embarking on a journey to transform its network.
As VodafoneZiggo’s primary (end-to-end) technology partner, TATA ELXSI has contributed to several programs as part of its transformation journey.
“We were privileged to be part of the initial design, development and deployment plans. Today, we are happy to see the end result in terms of successfully deploying a truly digital network and ecosystem. At this point, I want to congratulate Leo, the team and VodafoneZiggo for being awarded the best fixed networks in the Netherlands,” says Rajappa.
As part of the transformation, TATA ELXSI played the key role as technology and systems integration (SI) partner in the implementation of:
- SD-WAN Automation and Orchestration for B2B/Enterprise Services
- Fixed network core automation and orchestration
- SD security perimeter for products and services
“These programs were for infrastructure, network, CPEs, services, and security orchestration,” says Rajappa.
He concludes: “The orchestrator and automation feature collects a large amount of data and key performance indicators for automatic network scaling and proactive service remediation. We have and continue to work closely with the VodafoneZiggo team to launch and manage these products. We will also continue to work with VodafoneZiggo to complete their transformation and digitalization roadmap.
